Scafell Pike

Event Discription

Scafell Pike is the highest mountain in England, standing at an impressive 978m above sea level.Its rocky summit and the barren landscape around is wonderfully remote, and the feeling of being somewhere really special is an unbelivable feeling. We will be staring in the small hamlet of Seithwaite in the Borrowdale Valley from here we will start our walk to the highest point in England! When Setting off from here we will pass the famous Stockley Bridge and start our ascent up to the Beautiful Styhead Tarn a huge body of water sourrounded by all the high Fells. We will then start our walk to the summit of Scafell Pike walking on the Corridor Route and by no means this is not a nice flat corridor the walk along here takes in some of the best views up to Scafell and has some fun rocky outcrops to negotiate along the way. once on top of the Scafell you can walk up the summit cairn to get a Photo to show you are on the highest point in England! comeing back down you have the option to bag 3 more Wainwright Fells of Broad Crag, Ill Crag and Great End to top the day off with visiting 4 peaks.

Experience Required

You should have a good level of fitness and be comfortable walking for 5-6 hours per day with around 1000m of ascent

Age Limit

The Minimum Age for our walks is 8 years of age, but this depends on a child’s experience and ability. Under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult unless previously agreed with JC Outdoor Adventures.
