Cat Bells, High Spy and Derwent Water

Event Discription 

This walk takes in some of the most amazing panoramic views that surround the Lake of Derwent Water and the beautiful Borrowdale Valley. We will meet & start from the Northern Lake District town of Keswick from here we will warm up with a nice low level walk of 9km to the base of the ascent up to our first peak of the day Cat Bells. We will take in the amazing views surrounding us before we then start to gradually ascend up to our second significant peak of the day High Spy this is our highest peak of the day standing at 653 meters above sea level. 

We will then descend down from High Spy passing old disused quarry works into the beautiful valley of Borrowdale. Here we will take in all the amazing wooded areas that surround the valley following along the River Derwent to the bottom of Derwent Water Lake. From Here you will be walking alongside the beautiful lake all the way to the other end where we finish in Keswick for a well-deserved drink!

Experience Required

You should have a good level of fitness and be comfortable walking for 7-8 hours per day with around 1000m of ascent

Age Limit 

The Minimum Age for our walks is 15 years of age, but this depends on a child’s experience and ability. Under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult unless previously agreed with JC Outdoor Adventures

Prices

This event is £45 per person

Booking a group of 8 or more a discount of 10% will be applied

A 50% deposit will be made now and the rest will be invoiced 4 weeks before the event.

We require a minimum of 4 people per event for it to go ahead, if this is not met we hold the right to cancel the event and you will be given a full refund or credit for another event.
